I think its worth mentioning that as an "outsider" (i.e. not Mr. Thompson, Coach McCarthy, Mr. Murphy or Mr. Favre), I realize I do not have all of the information about the "Favre situation".  I want to believe the best of each situation, but there is no way that can happen given the "bad blood" that stains the past few months.  Ultimately, we, as Packers fans, have lost a great player.  Brett Favre was a big (if not THE biggest) part of the Packer's past 16 seasons.  He did a lot for our community, our state, and our team.  We do owe him a debt of gratitude.  Favre & his family have always been awesome to us, and I will continue to follow their story as they make it publicly available.  I'm sorry that we lost Brett & his family this season; I'm still foggy on how & why that happened.   I thought he left voluntarily.  But then he wasn't gone, but he wasn't here.  And then he was back; but it was bad.  And then he was gone for good, but on bad terms.  However this came about, we - as Packers fans - need to realize that while Brett was a BIG part of Packer's history for the past 16 years, he was - indeed - just a part.  I wish him the best in his future endeavors.  I am very glad that everything has concluded & we are back to football.  Although my previous posts and comments seemed harsh to Favre, I realize I need to keep in mind all that he has done for our organization & the POSITIVE ripple effect he's had for so many years.  I'm sorry to see the decisions Favre's made recently (not to say the organization is blameless, but he isn't either), and whatever happens I know he'll always be remembered as a Packer.  I think the fans did an AWESOME job on our first Preseason football game with the huge standing "O" for the offense (and even more props for the absence of "Boos"!).  Football, as we have known it, has changed a bit without a green & gold #4 on the field.  But Aaron Rodgers certainly proved himself out there, and I hope that we can all enjoy another great Packers season fresh & new.  I am glad, also, to see such a great football team start to get the recognition they so greatly deserved, vs. being shrouded behind one man.  Both offensively and defensively - and don't forget special teams - everyone came & brought it on Monday night & as Packers fans we need to keep up the awe-inspiring crowd support we've always given our team.  As a team we're legendary.  As fans, we are legendary.  And as always, we will continue to churn out players that will become legendary.  For now & forever; GO PACK GO!

I am so proud to support such a professional, yet personal organization as the Green Bay Packers.  I think it's time that fans started supporting our team; vs one man.  Given the situation, it is my opinion that Mark Murphy, Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy have done the best job possible given the situation they were dealt.  I am & always will be a huge Brett Favre fan; but in this case, I think that Brett leaving the Pack is the best for all parties.  I'm still not sure why Favre decided to come out of retirement; especially after such a heart-felt goodbye.  His decision to come back had such a ripple effect, and yet he only seemed concerned with himself & the fact that he "just wanted to play football".  His own words and actions seemed to have needlessly tainted the last days of his Packer era.  I still don't understand why he made the decisions he made.

Most of all, I want to say "thank you" to Mr. Murphy, Mr. Thompson & Coach McCarthy for your outstanding jobs & for keeping professionalism, humility, and stead-fast morales in a business that so many times loses focus on those very issues.  I am also very proud of the team itself, and its ability to stand in unison & support their new leader, Aaron Rodgers.  Rodgers has gotten the short end of the stick in this case, and he did nothing to deserve that.  He has been the picture of humility and grace during a very tumultuous time.  I often wonder why we haven't been able to give him the chance that we once gave to Brett himself.  Reguardless, I am proud to remain a faithful Packers fan. Go Pack Go!

I am a die-hard Packers fan, and have been since I was a kid. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2, and I vote for who shares my similar likes/dislikes and Christian beliefs. I am a rational human being who has no interest in or time for politics, unnecessary drama or speculation. I am a family-driven person, and my greatest defense mechanism is humor. As you'll see in my blog, I am somewhat opinionated, but I am not so closed minded that I can't take other peoples thoughts, feelings and unknown facts into consideration.
