I am very disappointed with all that is going on with the Favre situation on both sides.  Both sides need to make an effort to meet in the middle of this issue.  Rodgers has not even been given a chance to prove his abilities and somehow he is getting dragged into this ugliness.  I hope he doesn't label all Wisconsin sports fans just because of those of you so narrowminded to side with Brett without knowing the whole story.  I think that even if you heard the Packers' side you would still be blind and take Favre's side.  I am so disappointed in Brett's behavior.  He is acting like a small child throwing a tantrum because he isn't getting what he wants.  HE CHOSE TO RETIRE!  HE CHOSE TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF JUNE TO LET THE PACKERS ORG. KNOW OF HIS FEELINGS THAT HE WANTS TO PLAY!  I love Favre!  He is a legacy!  Right now he is not acting like the Brett we all know and love.  I feel like a mother disappointed in the way her child is acting right now.  Why does Favre feel he should not have to compete to win starting QB  back?  Is he afraid that he won't make the grade and Rodgers will beat him out?  I would like to read his mind right now, but unfortunately that is not reality.  This is not good for the Packers right now.  Also, Favre needs to stop using the media for communication.  Step up, be a man about this.  Talk to the people you need to talk to, not the media.  Let us know when things have been hashed out.  You are splitting the good fans of Green Bay around the state of Wisconsin, as well as all over the U.S!  This reminds me of a Randy Moss attitude.  By the way, if he goes elsewhere in the end, which I don't think the Packers will let happen, I hope that team gets stomped every time they play the Pack!!!!!!!!

How old are you? Do you know the history of the Packers? Have you followed the career of Brett and have seen what he has earned in Green Bay? Do you understand that media had set Brett up to make it sound like he didnt want to play for Green Bay when in fact that wasnt true at all. Do you understand that the only way he has to talk to us THE FANS is thru the media? Do you understand the pressure that they put on Brett to make a decision, do you realize management gave him a deadline? Do you realize we the fans couldnt wait to see till next year if we had Brett, we all got scared of losing him and asking, hounding, pressuring? Do you know what that is like. if you look back to the last game the first place the media went was to Brett asking, back next year?????? Microphone up his nose, question after question trying to pry a decision out of him. Media, competing with eachother to get the first word out to the people, hounding Brett again!!! Keep in mind, they gave him one short month after the last game to give that decision.....the season was very long, he isnt getting any younger....which isnt easy getting older, and he was exhausted...do you remember Deanna saying, "We are tired" he needed time and we the fans, the media, and Green Bay Packer Organization refused to give him that time. WE MADE THE MISTAKE , THEY MADE THE MISTAKE, NOT BRETT!!!! And my last question.....have you ever made a mistake and have your own family turn on you for it.....I AM SOOOOO ASHAMED ,WHAT A LAUGHING STOCK GREEN BAY IS RIGHT NOW.....

Personally, I don't care who made the mistake. If Brett wants to play, and still actually wants to play for the Packers, he should be the starting quarterback. It would have been great if Brett hadn't retired also it would have been great if he had been left alone to make the decision. I can't imagine the pressure he felt to make a decision before the draft. It blows my mind that the Packers org. didn't welcome him back as the starter after he stated he wanted to come back. Frankly it's just stupid to have a player of Brett's caliber and not have him be the starter. And he shouldn't have to compete for the starting position, if he wouldn't have retired he would be the starting quarterback, what has changed? Only the fact that the team has been practicing w) Rodgers and they are "moving in a new direction", well guess what, take a detour. On Greta Van Susteran the poll taken showed 81% felt Favre should be Green Bay's starting quarterback~the Packer's management is not doing the right thing here, regardless of how they feel about Brett's retirement or the "new" direction they were moving in. I mean no disrespect to Aaron Rodgers, if he ends up being the Packer's quarterback I'll cheer for him and I do think he would be a good quarterback, BUT we could have Favre. That's all it comes down to, we could have Favre for our starting quarterback and Packer's management are blowing it!
