My Heart is broken over a picture I recently saw in the New York Times, after Brett's first game for the Jets.  For those that still have a heart and wish Brett was still a Packer I want to share this with you.  I just hope it works (the link I am including) so you can see for yourselves.  Here it is:  Pro Football:  Different Green, Same Favre
If you click on this (and I will check myself to see if it works after it is posted) and look at the picture of Brett you will notice something peaking out near his neck.  I see a touch of gold showing.  It looks to me like he is wearing two jersey's under his Jet's jersey.  One being dark green and a hint of the second one in gold.  If that does not show you that he still is a Packer at Heart then you my friends are blind.  I am sure he will do fine in New York ... but he should be here.  And yes, A Rod did a fine job in last nights game... but that is just one game.  The two of them on OUR team would have been our best bet for a sucessful year.  But, management had their own ideas and made sure that was not going to happen.  My beef with them goes back to them being arrogant and self centered wanting their own team that they could get full credit.  With Brett ... they would have to share a lot of credit with Ron Wolf and Bob Harlen.  And they want it ALL.  So I am sad today ... knowing Brett still wants to suit up for his games in his familiar Green and Gold.  He should BE HERE and RETIRE when HE IS READY TO RETIRE.... not be PUSHED OUT like he was.  I just checked and it worked... however when the page comes up click on the whole story and you will see a better picture.

Management of the Packers is paid to make the tough decisions and to do what is BEST for the entire team. Not one player. That's why they have the jobs they have. That's why they take the heat they do.

Brett is still a fine player, but in the big picture, he's only going to be able to play for a few more years at the most. And, he's so lucky that he hasn't had a bad injury like Brady suffered. I still can't understand that after all those years of relative good health, wealth, fame and fortune he's insisting on risking his long term health. He's more focused on the immediate goals of adulation and adoration than his family or whatever he claims is his motivation.

GO PACKERS!!! GO!!!

This is directed back to MrsObvious. Well... you are OBVIOUS... that is for sure. You can turn your back on a member of the team. You quickly forget what he has done. Are you planning on walking out your door today and breaking a hip? Probably not. Will you give up walking to prevent it? Probably not. Should he give up living to stay at home in a safe environment or move forward and enjoy life to it's fullest as long as he can and is able. Maybe no one should play football because it is a tough sport and you take a risk that something could happen. Heck you take a risk getting out of bed in the mornings. Shame on you for implying he puts adulation and adoration before his wife and family. Your comments have nothing to do with Brett still wanting to play the game here and why he was treated so badly. Tell me why real fans of the game and sports broadcasters feel that what management did was wrong and not in the best interest of the Packer Organization. This was not a hard decision to make... it was PERSONAL and for their own benefit to their own claim to fame.

I appreciate your objectivity by claiming 'shame on you' when all I did was express an opinion. You stated yours, I stated mine. I didn't get personal or insulting. You Packer 'fans' all seem to have a loose nut or two......

You insulted Brett and his decision to play the game he loves. I think that ranks as some what personal and You insulted all Packer fans. I know that you protest your own writings with your own comments.
